Day 27 Race Day

Saturday!

Ok so i got about 5 1/2 hrs of sleep.

After we all got ready we headed down stairs to get breakfast at the Cafe
I ended up having a Banana and a Mixed Berry Smootie- very yummy but the smoothie was kinda big so i only drank half.

We took a Cab to a place near the race start line and then had to wait for Ellen to meet us with our race packets!

We got all ready with our head bands and numbers and then head to the starting line!

This was an Amazing Way To Finish my trip! I cant wait until the Color Run Comes to Colorado so i can get a group of friends and family together and Run or Walk! :)

Drove back to Campus with Ellen and Her Husband after grabbing a sandwich from Subway!

Made it back to Campus at around 2:30 and I had until 4 to shower and get ready! :(

Got done getting ready and said bye to My Roommate and read through her speech since she wouldnt be at graduation ( i was reading it for her!)

Headed to graduation and Jessica, Erica and Kristen performed for us!

After an emotional graduation, we took a couple of pictures and then headed to dinner!

Day 26 updated w/ pictures

Today is Friday well actually right this moment it is already Saturday

Got up at 5:15am and went and Got my RMR Test Done it only took about 15 mins. I went straight back to my room and went back to bed until about 7:20am and then got ready

Breakfast = Pancakes with Turkey sausage

I didnt go on my hike again this morning- the trainers told me the hike was one of the toughest they have and they said with my ankle issue it might be better to just do the gym since the next day I have to do the 5K.

I had a life coaching session with Jen and No i didnt cry! A Lot of people have been telling me at the resort that in 4 weeks I should have cried atleast once but nope it hasnt happened! It was a really good session and I learned a lot about myself and why i feel and act the way I do!

After the session was lunch which was a Turkey Club Pita with a side salad. It was alright but all i ate was the Pita

After lunch we had a departing guest lecture! It was very Helpful

Then it was off to classes!

I only had time for one class so i decided to do the hardest which was circuit training! I didnt have much energy today so i most did resistence training instead of speed.

After that class I met Kim and Sarah to head to LAS VEGAS!!

We spent about an hour trying to send off a couple of packages at the UPS and Post Office before we actually headed out.

The drive seemed to take forever, our other two friends Freddie and Jamie had already landed at the airport and made it to the hotel by the time we got into town.  We are staying at a smoke-free Hotel called Vdara (good to have a smoke free enviroment before the race)

We were all starving by the time we got checked into the hotel and got to go to the bathroom and get a drink of water.  It is a friday Night IN VEGAS and we were trying to get reservations for 5 people within the next 30 mins it was 6:30pm. We finally got a reservation and it was for 7pm and it was 6:53pm and we had to walk next door. LOL

After Dinner which I Had A STEAK and Fries :) we headed back to the room.  With me being the only one underage everyone had a glass of wine (good thing i dont like wine) and then we all decided we wanted to go to ride the roller coaster at New York New York! 

We headed down stairs and we were going to get a cab but to our surprise Sarah got us a Limo! :)
We had an hour to ride around the strip in the limo and yes we took lots of pictures.

The limo dropped us off at New York New York and we went straight to the roller coaster.  It was an intense ride and the pictures were really funny!

Oh man I look like I hate Roller Coasters! It was a crazy ride!


By the time everything was done and we got a cab back to our hotel it was already 11:45pm :(  We have to get up at 6:30am for breakfast and then RACE TIME.

Well im heading off to bed, ill post once i get back to the resort around 2pm.  I am sad that my adventure has come to an end but I cant wait to come home and see you all and share everything I have learned!

Day 25

To start this was a good day other then the fact that I stayed up until 1am this morning and had to be up at 7:15am :(

Food for today:
Breakfast was a piece of toast with peanut butter with a banana
Lunch was Mushroom soup which i didnt really eat and a Turkey Sandwich (amazing like always)
Dinner was Stuffed Peppers- Really good (I didnt eat the pepper part but it was still a lot of food)
I ate mine before i took a picture so i took one of jessica's and she was across the table so it was a little off focus
Dessert was the most amazing dessert here! I took a picture last time i had it and was just going to post that again but i decided to take another picture (the only difference is this one had different fruit on top then the last one I had) Its  called the Dessert Parfait!

Ok so i hiked Stop Sign again today but since i ate my breakfast about 10 mins before my hike instead of 45-50 mins before i got sick about a mile into my hike- BUT I STILL FINISHED THE 4.3 Miles and in 1Hr and 19Mins!

After lunch today I had a personal training session with Sharon and yes it is true she is tough and yes she did kick my butt- we worked upper body and the core needless to say I WILL BE REALLY REALLY SORE TOMORROW! :( 

Classes:

Treading- Ran on treadmil for the first part which is about 9 mins and then i did the bike for the last part!  Still Sweating like none other

Then I had Ball Works- We do exercises with the stability balls and yes after my personal training session WAS REALY HARD THIS TIME! But I still got thru the class and got a great workout!

Total Calories Burned: 3,693 :)

Well im off to get my free Mani/Pedi and then off to bed

I have my RMR Test at 5:30am meaning I have to be up at 5:15 :( Breakfast isnt until 7:15- maybe ill come back and power nap after the test

Day 24

Happy Wednesday! NOT!!!!!

Today is what everyone here calls HELL DAY including the trainers

Ok so my hike today was Stop Sign and I did get to go and I even bet my Time from Last Week- I got to the top in 1Hr and 17Mins :) only 2 mins better but still an improvment

Came back after the hike and took a nice long shower- after I had what is called a VO2 Test it measures your heart rate and tells you what is the best rate to burn the most calories and or the most fat. It was a good test and will really help when i get home

Total Calories Burned today = 3,838 :) Not including what I did on the VO2 test!

Breakfast was toast with peanut butter and a half a banana, in case you are all wondering what It looks like I took a picture:

Yes this keeps me full!

Lunch was a Veggie Burger and Almonds!

Dinner was a Cafe Salad which is a wheat tortilla with rice, black beans, chicken, and lettece! SO FREAKING GOOD!!

Dessert was Golden Spoon which is frozen yogurt~ 100 calories of heaven!

Classes:

1st was Mountain which is where you increase every 3 mins either speed or incline if on the treadmil you do the 14 times and then the class is over! :( It hurts so much and a very hard class

2nd and 3rd class was kickboxing :) Love this classes and a great workout!

Tomorrow is a new day but it very well could be my WORSE! :( I have my hike in the morning and then after lunch I have a personal training session with the thoughest trainers here (Sharon) for an hour and then 3 more hours of classes one of which is treading (my favorite class but almost as hard as Mountain) I have heard from a women here named Kim who had a training session with her on monday and is STILL SUPER SORE TODAY! :( 

Well im going to finish watching a couple episodes of Lost on Netflix and then go to bed!

Day 23

Day 23 over and done with only 4 more days to go until I'm Home! :)

Today was a better day overall then yesterday! 

I didnt hike again today because of my ankle. But tomorrow it is ON! I hike stop sign and i need to beat my time!

Total calorie burn today not including the pool = 2,724 :)

Breakfast was a mixed fruit smootie which tasted like straight greek yogurt but it was alright and a very dry english muffin with little to no butter!

Lunch was a Veggie Burger for me- I guess at this point it is REALLY SAFE to say i am digging the veggie burgers here!

Dinner was Chicken with Squash- I have had this before and again it was just as good:

Classes:

1st was deep water in the pool- it was tough but a good 300 calories burn! :)

2nd was total toning- i dont like this class but i went anyway and im glad i did got a good core and shoulder workout!

3rd was Cardio Intervals- I did the bike instead of the treadmil because of the ankle and I kicked my own Butt, usually i get my RPM in the 90-110 range but because Jessica and I are competitive we got our RPM in the 130-140 which hurt like crazy but in the end it will pay off. Although our trainers now want to see that amount of effort the rest of the week :( LOL

Ok so at 1pm every Tuesday we have the thing called Calorie Challenge it is where they put 5 pictures up on a powerpoint and everyone gets to guess how many calories is in each pictured meal.  and then they do a tie breaker pictures just in case their is a tie at the end.  Once everyone writes down their guesses we hand them in and then they reveal the HORRIBLE NUMBERS! So this week the resturant of choice was "Five Guys" Which is a Burger and Fries Joint.  The first picture was of a Large (20 oz) French Fries, 2nd was the regular burger (which comes with 2 pattys), 3rd was the junior burger (kids meal with one patty) 4th was a Veggie burger (really just the junior burger without the patty) 5th was the Bacon Hot Dog with a side of fries.  the tie breaker was their Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I can't remember all the numbers but when they were telling them I was trying to remember what I guessed and I was WAY OFF! The fries were 1,475 the regular burger was somewhere in the 800's and the veggie burger was in the 400's. 

At Dinner they announce the top 3 winners and they get prizes- 3rd prize this week was a 60 min personal training session with trainer of choice, 2nd prize was a Mani/Pedi Combo (which they say every week a man gets) and 1st place is the two cookbooks from the resort (which I have already bought)

So to end this story I won 2ND place with being 76 calories OVER from the total!!!! :) But i had a Pedicure on Valentines Day so i decided to get just a Manicure and Give the Pedicure to My Friend Jessica!

I know my Calories! :)

After dinner I did my laundry and talked to my mom about me winning 2nd place in the calorie challenge. and then Jessica came by to grab the sleeping Pills I was giving her but she was Soaked from head to toe- 2 of the guys from the server staff pushed her in after she pushed one of them in and tried to push the other in. She is such a Flirt lol j/k

I had a Lomi Lomi Massage tonight at 8:30 and it was nice, different, but nice.

Well enough about today, I am tired from working so hard, and i need my sleep so i can HOP SKIP AND JUMP all the way up stop sign tomorrow (yeah right, i wish it was that easy)

Day 22

MONDAY!

Alright total calories burned = 3,179 :) including pool class

Breakfast was toast with peanut butter and a banana!

Lunch was Turkey Rice Bowl- it was really good

Dinner was a Veggie Burger for me!

Ok so I went to go on my last assesment hike and my ankle started hurting once i got into the van
Started hiking and i got shooting pain in my ankle i knew it was bad when my foot started going numb :( I was really PISSED OFF! It is my last week and I really want to be able to hike.  The pain got worse as i continued to hike and eventually I was told I should turn around and go rest my ankle.  I decided to stop since it is only monday and I still have the entire week to hike! Once I got back to the resort my ankle was a little swollen but after icing it for about an hour my ankle felt a lot better.

I put on my ankle brace and went to play Volleyball during gym class. Everyone showed up which made for a really interesting game! Very Fun- Tomorrow is ZUMBA

Classes:
Circuit Training was first which kinda sucked because the trainer wouldnt let me run on my ankle :(

Core was next and it SUCKED but in a good way- lots of sweat and pain :)

Last was Pool which also kicked my BUTT but again in a great way!

Today overall was a good day!  I am sad that this is my LAST monday here :(

Watching tv with Jessica tonight and then off to bed!

Day 21

SUNDAY

Alright so today just like last sunday was pretty boring!

Breakfast was a Strawberry Muffin

Lunch was Cafe Rio- yes we ate out but I did really good and got a salad!

Dinner was Skipped!

Dessert was Vanilla Pie

Before Lunch Jessica asked if she could do my hair and I said yes! All she did was straightened it and parted it on the side! My hair is really long and really dark! But I like the way it looks, would post a picture but not going to! :) lol sorry

The rest of the day I layed in my room recovering from the week and watching the series on Netflix called LOST! BIG MISTAKE BECAUSE NOW I AM ADDICTIED!!!!

Orientation was long and boring- not very new people but im glad it is over.

Now im watching tv- the walking dead series!

Total calories burned = 1,853 (love it, layed in bed most the day and still burning over 1,00)
